“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom."
– Victor Frankl
This week, I'm asking you to do something counterintuitive: press pause.
Be present.
Be intentional.
I share with you on a Sunday for a reason – it’s the best window to cut through the noise and encourage you to switch off your autopilot.
So I'm keeping this short on purpose. You don't need more input. Instead I want you to start consciously building a habit most leaders skip: reflection.
While others are obsessed with ramping up quicker, faster, harder, I want you to zig while they zag.
I want you to look back rather than look forward.
Last week I gave you 26 Rules. That was a lot to take in. So this week: reflect with intention and purpose. Consciously interpret your own data from the past week – physical, mental, emotional.
Be curious. What are the learns? What are the course-corrections you need to make?
Think of the year ahead like a flight path – it looks so linear on paper, but the reality is that the plane is constantly doing micro course-corrections based on the inevitable variables that will arise.
Ignore your data and you’ll end up in the wrong place.
Your Sunday Cycle:
Reflection → Extraction → Intention → Action
Sit with it. Walk with it. Pen and paper. Don’t waste the opportunity to learn from what your first week revealed.
This is a skill you can build. But it requires reps.
Don't get seduced by the rush to action. Reflection IS the work.
Build this habit and the returns will compound over time.
Share this with a fellow leader – we’re stronger together.
